The Day on the Bay

7:30 AM · Sunrise

Paddleboard the mangroves

Start calm and glassy at Oleta River State Park or Virginia Key — rent a SUP or kayak and glide through the mangrove tunnels before the crowds.

10:30 AM · Late morning

Set sail for the sandbar

Charter a boat (or join a group trip) out to the Nixon / Haulover sandbar. Drop anchor in waist-deep turquoise water and float the morning away.

1:00 PM · Lunch

Dock-and-dine on the water

Pull up to Boater’s Grill on Key Biscayne or Monty’s in Coconut Grove for fresh seafood with your feet practically in the bay.

3:00 PM · Afternoon

Snorkel & jet ski

Head to Biscayne National Park for a snorkel over living reef, or open the throttle on a jet ski rental along the coast.

6:30 PM · Golden hour

Sunset sail & seafood dinner

Close with a sunset sail out of Bayside Marina, then dinner at Garcia’s Seafood Grille on the Miami River.
